A few days ago we had the amusing post reflecting some of the strange customs here in Poland (being accused of being a shoplifter just because I didn't have a basket!). Well, today we have an equally absurd post.Yesterday, we took a public bus from Toruń up north to Łysomice. All was going well...when suddenly the driver pulled into a local petrol station, parked the bus...and suddenly jumped out. No explanation was given to the bewildered passengers. After a few minutes he emerged from the shop. The reason for this sudden stop? The driver had simply wanted to buy a pack of cigarrettes!!

happens in UK a lot more than in Poland. Last time I took a bus driver pulled over and left a bus because his shift ended. Waited 20mins for a new driver.
Thanks for the comment...but have lived in the UK for 20 years and that has NEVER happened to me. Must be all the new Polish drivers out in the UK! Hee hee! ;-)
This is Poland.
